Regional Cross Country

The 2004 Regional Cross-Country Championships, held at RAFC Cranwell on Sunday 05 Dec 04, saw a double presence of 195 Sqn cadets.

Cadets Kelda Birch and Dale Dannatt represented Trent Wing as part of the Junior Girls and Junior Boys teams and were ably supported by another eight Grimsby cadets who had volunteered for marshalling duties on the Cranwell course. Support for the runners was also boosted by the presence of ten cadets from 204 (City of Lincoln) Sqn, seven of whom were probationers, also part of the marshalling team.

Conditions were notably better than those experienced at the Wing Championships held three weeks previously, and a good, solid performance by all the team members resulted in Trent Wing being declared the Overall Winners, much to the surprise and delight of Wg Cdr Hullott.

Cdt Dannatt was placed 10th in his event and Cdt Birch was placed 5th, securing herself a reserve place in the Central & East Region team for the ATC National Cross-Country Championships, to be held at RAFC Cranwell on Saturday 22 Jan 05
