Squadron To Represent Central & East Region in Lees Trophy
195(Grimsby)Squadron are now officially recognised as one of the top six squadrons in the
whole of the United Kingdom after successfully beating off competition from their region,
the Central and East of England. This was no mean feat in itself as the region takes in
an area of the country from the Humber, to the north of london and west as far as Birmingham
and Warwickshire.

Squadron Awarded Wing Efficiency Trophy
195(Grimsby)Squadron has been awarded the Trent Wing Efficiency Trophy. The squadron came top out of 31 other squadrons. The trophy will be officially presented by the Officer Commanding Trent Wing, Wing Commander Hullot RAFVR(T), on the 27th February 2003 during the Holding Flight 02/02 Graduation Ceremony.
The work however is just beginning. The next stage will require the squadron to represent Trent Wing in the Region Competition. The Inspection for this selection is taking place at the end of April and will be conducted by the Officer Commanding Central & East Region, Group Captain Ford, and his Region Staff. If successful the squadron will then represent Central & East region in competing for the Sir Alan Lees Trophy that is awarded to the Best ATC Squadron In The UK.

10 Cadets got the opportunity to go on an Air Experience Flight at RAFC Cranwell. For most of the cadets it was their first flight and they all got a chance to take control of the plane and fly it themselves. Some of the cadets even got to do some aerobatics.
