This is an attempt to list all the Grimsby Trawler owners that were in existence.
For this first run, I have made no attempt to indicate which companies were subsidiaries of parent companies, name changes or anything like that. This will come later after the initial listings are completed. For the time being though, here are the ones I have so far:
Note: Whilst collating these names, I have encountered references to addresses of some companies as 'Extension Dock'. This is, I understand, the area from Fish Dock Road to Gorton Street but if anyone can explain further, I'll be delighted to hear from you.

A Brief History...

Their offices were formerly in Auckland Road, circa 1906-1907.
One of Grimsby's oldest trawling companies, they had a fleet of seven diesel trawlers - built to replace their ageing steam fleet - by the 1960's. They also had a 'never say die' kind of attitude when, in 1975, as other trawler companies were in decline they actually added three more vessels to their fleet when they bought the Rhodesian, Galilean and Ephesian from Sir Thomas Robinson. These vessels were renamed Sando, Nanao and Kyoto respectively.
Fate, however, proved not to be overly impressed with the company's effort to survive and H. L. Taylor Ltd ceased trading at the end of 1981, their remaining ships laid up and eventually sold for other uses.
