Back Dane project volunteers meet roughly once a month from Friday to Sunday. We usually get together on a Friday at the Ship Inn in the village and discuss what projects we will be working on for the weekend. Many of the tasks are simply keeping the place tidy and checking the facilities for any missing or broken items. Other tasks have included :

Painting inside the cottage. This is an ongoing job as there always seems to be at least one room in need of attention.

Upgrading facilites such as the new roof on the kitchen.

Working on the many partly finished projects such as rendering the toilet walls.

Eventually moving on to upgrading the barns for use as games rooms etc.

Keeping the outside areas maintained. We need some dry stone wallers at the moment to repair the wall at the front of the cottage which is falling down.

We are always on the look out for new volunteers, either with special skills such as those with experience of rendering or just general DIY. Also there is always plenty to do for anyone willing. We always listen to suggestions and put them into practice if possible.
