Apple Mac OS X users please note that data entry is different on OS X as follows:
1. OS X users
should note that in order to take advantage of the tab action to move
through the data entry controls it is necessary to set System
Preferences to Full Keyboard Access – All Controls. This is
done in System Preferences > Mouse and Keyboard, and
click the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab. You are presented with two options
at the bottom of the window (in the "Full keyboard access" section):
“Text boxes and lists only” or “All controls”. Select the
"All controls" option. For details see this.
2. OS X handles the tab key action differently than Windows and Linux. This only affects data entry using a combination of tab and cursor keys. On OS X only it is necessary to press enter or space after changing combobox values with the cursor keys before tabbing to the next control. You only need the tab key (without enter or space) if you change the combobox values by entering numbers directly or selecting with the mouse.
