G McKenzie has received dental lists and will place this on the
Broomwood web site.

Accessibility for Disabled around Broomwood discussed. Letter from
Irwell Valley shared with group, and enclosed with minutes. Concern expressed
regarding steep steps to Broomwood shops and condition of pavements

Action Ruth and Sue to address wheelchair accessibility around local shops.
Sue to identify statistics for hospitalises falls occurring in Broomwood.
3.
Concern was expressed and discussed within the group about the failure
of the refurbishment work at the Broomwood Youth Centre to start. The group
had been told verbally that the work would be considered in January 2005.
Concern
was expressed that established groups such as over 50s, Tai Chi and health
walks had temporarily moved to Broomwood School, however there are problems
with accessibility and disturbance of school activities holding these groups
at Broomwood School in the long term, although the groups were grateful to Mrs
A Woods for her help in providing temporary accommodation. "

Action R Speight to write to J Pilkington for official written clarification
of when youth centre refurbishment will be carried out, and when groups can
move back to Broomwood Youth Centre. R Speight to discuss above with A Woods
and K Warrington.
4.
Concern expressed that there was no date for the next Broomwood
Partnership for the Health Sub Group to feed back to partnership.

Action R Speight to write to J Pilkington to request a date for Broomwood
Partnership meeting.
5.
Dog excrement continues as persistent problems especially around Dee
Avenue/Redbrook Road recreation ground. Possibility of care for dogs scheme
with G force/over 50s extra.
