·        TMBC Graffiti removal: Graham S – The machine is working well – Machine with team, rate is currently £41 per hour + Materials. The costs are currently paid out of the Street Scene budget pending agreement.  Work at AYC (D of ES) removed most of the racist and obscene graffiti. To book the team – phone TRAFFORD DIRECT.

·        Fairywell Woods again there were problems caused by vandals. An Audit will be undertaken – Lack of venues for young people to let off steam were thought to be part of the cause; also current lack of diversionary activity, the loss of  recreational land at Kentmere Road may be causing the increasing number of young people to congregate. Paul H to contact Mark Burrows to discuss Cycle Ramps – Funding for new Diversions.

·        Brooks Drive – Conversation around work being undertaken on site. Mary Eastwood outlined reasons for remedial works – Lindsey H to provide an article for BCA-Broomwoodvoice – Posters etc. Work on the drive was long overdue and foliage and bushes will soon recover in an improved state and presentation (timescale 5 years)

·        Bulky Rubbish- £15 Charge Is still a major problem for some, areas of concern Redbrook Road Brooks Drive by Hempcroft Road (Even over 70’s have been spotted emptying a car boot on the croft)    Paul H to contact Altrincham Area Board to request skips

·        TESCO TROLLY(s) in the Brook – BCA to contact Tesco on behalf of this group to see what can be done – Apparently Tesco are content to lose 5 to 10 per week – Fines and Charges may be imposed by TMBC / MCC ?

·        TRANSPORT SECTION

·        Health Focus Group are working on producing an Audit of accessibility on Broomwood – Today this group considered access to Brooks Drive and other walkable areas should be upgraded to comply with DWP/DRC guidelines and recent Legislation. SALE WATER PARK was a good example, it was agreed that this be looked into once remedial work on the drive is complete. – Drive surfaces were rutted in some parts and funds for remedial work and upgrades were required.  Jane B to speak to Cllr Tony Fishwick who has looked into the issue on behalf of Broomwood residents, The very poor state of footpaths for all users, able and disabled alike were very great cause for concern.    As requested Grant M has contacted Trafford Direct to request a clear up on paths used by fire & emergency services (Redbrook Road – Bowness Road area etc.) a task/job number has been generated, there is as yet no feedback on progress.
