COLA

Hi everyone my name's Cola and I was born in 1995. I was found dumped in a cardboard box, along with my sister Pepsi, outside the house of one of our Mum's work colleagues who lived in Reading. Debbie didn't want to separate us she asked around to see if anybody would give a home to two very lively kittens. Yes you guessed it - Mum said she would. So after a shaky start to my life I went to live on a 270 acre farm in Buckinghamshire.

The first day at my new home I decided to climb up the inside of the chimney - thankfully not in use at the time - and eventually reappeared covered in soot!! This is how I got my name (Coal didn't sound right for a kitten so it became Cola).

I am extremely nervous with strangers perhaps due to only being around Mum, Dad & Kerri for the first five years of my life but am happy to be amongst all types of wildlife. On my travels around the farm I came across pigs, sheep, pheasants, bats, foxes, badgers, woodpeckers and last but not least, deer. There were also stables down the farm track so I used to go to see the horses as well.

At home I am totally laid back and love nothing more than being able to curl up on Mums knee the minute she sits down. I am a big, cuddly softie and if I wasn't so wary of strangers may have made a good household pet show cat.

I love to be brushed and combed and even take my three-monthly wormer without any fuss!! Mum says if only all cats were like me she could save a fortune on all the wasted pills which end up being spat out by the others.

In Summer I can be found playing in the meadows at the side of our house or lazing in the garden but in Winter I prefer the comfort of the central heating. At the farm I used to be curled up in front of the Aga but at my new house it's just radiators.

I love playing with Toffee & Simba and am usually with one or the other. I also really enjoy a good roll in the dust and come in covered in grit - Bliss!!.
