DCC Golf Day - Bill Wraight Trophy
Gatton Manor on Fri 28 September 2007
Despite weather that made many of the Summer’s cricket days seem quite clement a hardy
group of cricket golfers battled through the rain at Gatton Manor for an
excellent day’s golf topped and tailed with the traditional bacon roll breakfast
and a liquid ploughman’s lunch. Marje Wraight and our faithful Grovers joined us
afterwards for lunch and prizes. We all agreed the new venue was just right and
plan to return next September.
Well done all the players –
Paul Charman, Dominic Kenway, Roy Ridgway, Steve Obank, John Cooke, Simon de la
Hoyde, Mike Kenway, Tony Pike, Richard Pike, Rob Philips, Tony Dunmall, Terry
Mayne and Mike Knott.
Leader Board –
1st Dominic Kenway
(38) 2nd Paul Charman (35) 3rd Rob Philips (24) Nearest pin Dominic
Kenway Longest drive Roy Ridgway
And so the season finally came to an
end…

Westhumble Pavilion
In September it was externally complete with water and sewage connected. We
have now got the water pipe inside the building and have finished the
landscaping to the front. We will shortly be starting on the inside ....
are there any Bricklayers, Carpenters, Plumbers or Electricians that would be
prepared to lend a hand. All materials will be provided, its the expertise
and time that is required. Please contact David Spackman (on the contacts
page).
As a result of these major works, funds are exhausted. If you could join the
100 club (prize draws) at £24 per year this would provide very valuable
assistance to the club.
See the links page for an application form.
