Introduction to the Old Bournemouthians' Association

The Old Bournemouthians Association exists to enable past pupils of Bournemouth School (East Way, Bournemouth, UK) to keep in touch with one another and with the current developments within the school.

We have a varied programme of activities during the year. On Friday 18th May the annual golf tournament and dinner was held at the Dudsbury Golf Club.It was a charity event for the Wessex Heartbeat Appeal.

Annual Dinner

The main event of each year is the Annual Dinner, which was held on Friday 21st September 2007. The venue was the Queens Hotel, Bournemouth.

School Events

The new Sir David English Sports Hall is complete and was opened in December 1999.

In January 2001 the School's centenary celebrations were celebrated.

Newsletters

We publish two newsletters a year, sent to members anywhere in the world, currently including Australia, Canada and The Bahamas! These are usually published in Spring and Autumn. Submissions for the newsletters are always welcome, particularly news of Old Boys. Details of how to send these can be found here.

Sports Clubs

The Association helps to subsidise the cost of running the Old Bournemouthians Football Club. The football side has a team in Division 2 of the local Sunday league.

Membership

All this for a cost of £5 a year. This also entitles members to a discount on the price of the Annual Dinner. If you would like to join, please go to the membership page.
