Bee Sharp offers children from nine months to five years a fun introduction to music and musical activities. Each 40 minute session consists of a carefully structured program, including:

  • singing
  • playing instruments
  • movement
  • action songs and nursery rhymes
  • stories and poems
  • drama
  • listening and appraising
  • dance

The classes each have a theme and cover the basics in pitch, rhythm, tempo and dynamics. The objective is to nurture, in an enjoyable way, each child's skills in

  • physical coordination
  • listening skills
  • emerging literacy
  • numeracy
  • language
  • confidence
  • independence
  • social skills
  • musicality

Introducing music in a structured format at an early age benefits a child's overall development. There is a considerable crossover between musical skills and other intellectual and social skills.
