(Founded 1924)

The TM mark their arrival at Dresden railway station by performing Balance the Straw (Fieldtown) in a manner proposed but never implemented by Coton Village MM. Hari's umbrella is a figmetn of your imagination.

134th Tour, 1st in 2007, Finisterre, foreman Harry Kitchener

Fish and Ferry Port
The rain had stopped but it was too windy for a boat trip so we danced in the port of Roscoff.  The audience is out of the picture; unfortunately the fish market provides the background for Stephen "Sticks" Hinchliffe, a lost bell, Michael Blanford (flying), Richard "Dickie" Doe, Cecil Laughlin (also flying) and Mitch Diamond.

You had to be there.          Ben's Jig
Ben Crabb rising brilliantly in a Sherborne Upright Caper.  Ben has developed his own style (note the clasped hands).  Purists might discuss the angle of the right knee if they themselves could rise half so well.

Little Moreton Hall
provides a distracting background, I fear, to Michael Blanford's Bampton jig accompanied by Terry Carter on the whittle and dub.

Underlying salt beds provide an unstable foundation for buildings in Cheshire.          Set Straight
L to R: Simon Threlfall, Mike Dobson, Graham Cox, Dickie Doe, Michael Blanford and John Jenner with Terry Carter playing tabor and pipe.

The audience included a herd of curious but quite ordinary bullocks.
Rising Well
Simon Threlfall's upright caper during Orance in Bloom, Sherbourne, at the Dagfields Farm craft centre in Hatherton, a short walk south of our camp site.
Simon was Squire of Cambridge MM during his final undergraduate year.          Beeston Castle
The remains of this hilltop fort provide a view over three counties. After a brisk climb the TM entertained a small but appreciative audience. Mike Dobson was fooling.
The tabor and pipe, archaically called whittle and dub, are light enough to be carried uphill.
The Leaning Tower of Wybunbury
Andy Blagbrough, suffering from Wednesday Leg, has aligned the camera with the tower. The ground is more level than it looks! Correction techniques proven here were later applied in Pisa.
Three successive church naves on this site fell down or were demolished for safety.          Tower Top Jig
Nutting Girl, Fieldtown, performed at a vertiginous altitude by our foreman, Peter Copley. Peter is perfectly upright (as ever) but in the dusk the roof of the tower may be seen to slope...

Last dance of the day
Massed Wellies
Keen for any opportunity to improve their minds, the TM take advantage of a damp morning to visit Wybunbury Moss under the guidance of warden John Colbert.

Why only ever 5 men in the air?          Quiet evening meal
The owner of this bistro was only too pleased to block most of the alley with a row of tables for us. Such segastuation was vital after half a dozen shows each day in 35 heat.
