22/11/11 INSURANCE As
a few of us have suffered from vandalism and theft, I have recently obtained
a quote for insuring beehives against Material Damage. The quotation is provides cover for £300 per hive at apiaries anywhere in the UK.
The unit cost for 20 hives £16,09 pre hive. This is a little expensive in my
opinion but the insurance will cover 200 hives for approximately £3.50 per
hive and I think that this represents good value. The cover will provide protection for theft, malicious persons, accidental
damage and flood as well as aircraft and tempest etc. Should you be interested in this please contact me
here and I will see if we have a sufficient number to carry this forward. Tom
