Welcome to the website of Cleveland Beekeepers Association (an area association
member of the British Beekeepers'
Association).
We are a friendly, thriving association of over 100 beekeepers living in the Cleveland, North Yorkshire and
County Durham areas of the North East of England, on the northern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Our website name www.teesbees.co.uk derives from the River Tees, which flows through the region.
Our interests are:
- Learning about bees and beekeeping.
- Helping others in our hobby.
- Producing good quality honey and beeswax.
You can send us a question or comment via the webform below. If you are not in
the Tees valley you may find it more convenient to contact your local
association, in the north, Durham
and Newcastle, in
the south, Northallerton, Richmond and Yorkshire.
If your question is primarily about bees (bumble bees, swarms etc.) rather than
beekeping you may find our Swarms page helpful. We run
beekeeping courses each spring however in recent
years these have proved very popular and fill up very quickly. If you are
interested in taking up beekeeping or becoming a
member you are welcome to attend one of our
programme of meetings throughout the year. If you still have a
question please use the web-form below making sure you have included your email address if you want an answer.
