The Choir at Moston is one of the few 'active' church choirs in the area. Numbering approx 20 the choir meets regularly on a Friday evening to prepare the hymns for worship the following Sunday and practice for concerts and special services throughout the year.
Our presentation for Christmas 2008 was a Concert of Christmas music which was very well attended. The choir also sang at the Community Carol Service which is held for all groups who use the premises at Moston Methodist Church
The concert for NCH at Hope Methodist Church in Failsworth raised over £300 and the presentation of “The Witness” just after Pentecost at Moston was very well supported from other churches in the circuit. The choir also provided the entertainment for the Annual Strawberry Tea at Moston in aid of ‘Action For Children’ in July.
The choir has been invited to sing at the Harvest Meal at Crumpsall Methodist Church at the end of September and the following week (4th October) will be presenting an evening of music and reading for the Harvest season in aid of the Renovation Fund at Moston. Details of this can be found on the Diary page of this website
Over the past few years we have welcomed a number of friends from churches in the circuit who have joined us and seem to be enjoying the fellowship. We now have a strong tenor section but we do need some more altos! We would welcome anybody who wishes to come along for fellowship with a bit of music thrown in. Just come along any Friday night at 8.00pm.
