The talking wizard has been removed. It drove me witless, so lord alone knows what it did for you. It did however lead me to seriously consider web access for people with disabilities, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. I've created a sister site for those who use assistive software or need to view a site with their own preferences. Visit www.prostate-cancer-awareness.co.uk .
The guest books back. It disappeared for a while but as mysteriously as it went, it returned. There is a link on the page to old entries that can be viewed and I will back up the guest entries periodically to ensure I don't loose any next time it goes walkabout.

The new facility I added for the use of visually impaired people was a complete flop. It interfered with assistive software that, I now know, many people in this situation use, to read web sites. I've removed that aspect of the facility, but the wizard remains to annoy you as a gimmick only. I haven't given up, as I'm now in the process of creating a text only diary to run alongside this one. This will/should allow text reader software to read the content to the user without any problems. You live and learn.

A new facility has been added to the site. Those of you with Internet Explorer web browser, will have seen the talking wizard introducing the web site. (Sorry to those with other, incompatible web browsers, but I'm a beginner and must pander to the majority. That's democracy for you.) Anyway, as a result of a suggestion from a diary reader, I've added an audible section of the diary, for the benefit of those with visual impairment, or other reading difficulties. This means that those who are barely able to read the written word, can now listen to the diary, by clicking the easily seen, flashing, "welcome" sign on the homepage. This will lead to easily navigated pages and allow access to those who were unable to read the awareness message, which is the purpose of this site. I hope it works as intended.

Page 8 amended to show amended Gleason score from "4" to "8" and cancer grade from "Moderate" to "High" I must have misheard the consultant when he told me my Gleason score was 4+4. Also added latest PSA results.

You may have noticed that the family photo gallery pictures don't always open in a separate small window, on top. I have amended the source code to correct this a number of times, but it keeps changing back to opening in a full window, on it's own. I think it's trying to tell me something. I'll keep experimenting and eventually sort it out.

I Know, there's more updates than you can keep up with, but I'm enthusiastic, I find this all very exciting and interesting. Try clicking the "PHOTOS" button on the main index, and you'll be taken to a new "Photo Galleries Index" page where you can choose from a selection of subjects.
