Welcome
to "the young american" - a website dedicated to the activities of David
Bowie in America during 1974. This site is now 5 years old, having been first
launched in January 2002. It was my intention then - as it still is now - to
piece together all that is known about the period to provide a factual
account of a very important time in our hero's illustrious career. I
would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the site so far. Through
these contributions we have learnt so much more about the period. For example,
we now have a very clear understanding of the actual tour dates - an area
which was previously shrouded in mystery. On
a personal front, I have made lots of new friends through the site and I am
truly grateful to everybody who has contacted me with their comments or has
sent me information for it. Please
continue to visit and contribute to it… there is still so much more to learn
