John is a former Fleet Street journalist and has lived in Hertfordshire for 27 years, the last eight in Hatfield. He is married and has two sons, both of whom are away a university. He entered local politics via a very impressive by-election win in May 2002. His aim is to stop the rot in Hatfield and he is already winning praise for his hard work and enthusiasm.
