Fairness

There are armies armed with sticks,
knives, and big bruisers,
While camouflaged armies
fight with support from naval cruisers.
The one question I have
with all weapons of war,
Is, is it really helping
the world's sick, and poor.

There are people dying each day
of hunger and pain,
some without clean water,
some without grain.
How do we look ?
with our armoured tanks and planes,
While people have no sanitation,
or suitable drains.

Tomorrow never comes
for some people today,
this could seem to some
as nature’s way.
The governments could do more,
than build war arms,
by helping poor countries fight hunger,
and build better farms.

By giving improved farming knowledge,
and help planting seeds,
We would help them with their hunger,
and help their cattle feed.
And by providing healthcare,
medicine, and clean water too,
I’m sure their length of days
would not be so few.

No King is saved by the multitude of
an army; a mighty man is not delivered
by great strength.
Behold the eye of the Lord is on those
who fear Him, on those who hope in His
mercy, to deliver their soul from death,
and to keep them alive in famine.

( Psalm 33:16 & 33:18-19 NKJV )
