The Tentacle And The Shield.

I was broken down,
and not in a nice place,
knowing I needed quiet time,
I needed space.
While medication helped,
but messed up my taste,
I then realized some thoughts
that were a waste.

I knelt up, and my mind
was becoming clear,
separating me from evil,
and from fear.
I was lost in emotions,
and battling blind,
so I stayed still,
and a few things came to mind.

I found out about the sword,
that only came to wound,
so I turned to the Faith Shield,
with my walkman tuned.
Love and Joy
were beginning to be restored to me,
and once again;
I was at our soldiers cross, at Calvary.

The battle took weeks,
however; I left a new man,
knowing something more
of God's divine plan.
With the help of my God
and the medical team,
I again was lovingly restored,
and able to dream.

Our hopes and our dreams,
can play havoc with our mind.
Know that the Lord gives Peace;
and settles you, for He is kind.
Look as best you can;
towards God each day,
He will help you to be still,
and will help you to pray.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,
let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
