Ten Commandments

You Shall Have No Other gods Before Me, worship only me,
for I gave you my Son Jesus Christ, so that you could be free.
I AM the Creator, of all that lives in the everlasting tree,
which by The Word of the Lord, will set captives free.

You Shall Not Make For Yourself A Carved Image Of Anything,
that is within earth or what heaven can bring.
My Joy will come to me, when you are filled, and when you sing,
run along with your Lord under His mighty wing.

You Shall Not Take The Name Of The Lord Your God In Vain,
for you will be Marked with a shameful stain.
Honour your lives To Him, in all that you do,
with the guidance of Holy Spirit, to help you through.

Remember The Sabbath Day To Keep It Holy, honour God this day,
I ask you to remember Jesus Christ, and sing, and pray.
Rejoice in Him this day, don't make it grey,
for I AM your mighty God who paves the way.

Honour Your Mother And Your Father, every time and place,
for your parents also; have their mind on your face.
Your days are not so long in the human race,
so abide in the commands of your Lord, written for your space.

You Shall Not Murder, for this makes God mad,
it brings tears, and mourning, and it makes people sad.
It shows your heart is hardened and really bad,
keep His Commandments, and keep His heart glad.

You Shall Not Commit Adultery, for there is a looser,
which was caused by you an emotional bruiser.
You break up a marriage, and your Families life,
often leaving people and things around you, with problems and strife.

You Shall Not Steal, for I have given you a meal,
the table is here, your true life, your seal.
Simply to be a thief is unkind and greedy,
I will teach you good things, and give to the needy.

You Shall Not Bear False Witness Against Your Neighbour,
for I will burden you, with this type of labour.
The fact that you lied made you unruly and unjust,
confess this all before Jesus and bring back some trust.

You Shall Not Covet Against Your Neighbours Household;
if you covet against his house and don't do as you're told,
I shall harden you effectively and make you ice cold.
Really these commandments may seem harsh and bold,
what I want is simply this,
I want you to run like clay through the potters mould.

And the Lord commanded me at that time
to teach you statutes and judgements,
that you might observe them in the land
which you cross over to possess.

( Deuteronomy 4:14 NKJV )
