Hand Feeding |
| Method |
All penguins are fed fish by hand
by the keepers each day. |
| Species |
Penguins. |
| Purpose |
To ensure that all of the birds
are healthy, and get a share of food. Additionally, birds become used to the presence of
the keepers, so are not stressed by their presence during the breeding season. |
| Pro |
Makes feeding of dietary
supplements such as vitamins, and medications easy, as they can be placed inside fish fed
to specific birds. |
| Con |
Very time consuming. |

| Comments |
With over 200 birds in the penguin

of Use |
Twice per Day. |
