Food Parcel
The feeding methods outlined in this section require prior preparation in terms of making devices for use by the animals, including items that must be opened or manipulated to obtain food, frames to hold food items, and containers that randomly release food such as insects.

| Method | Food items are tied up in layers of tightly wrapped paper bags. | |

| Purpose | Feeding puzzle to stimulate foraging activity and manipulatory skills. | |
| Pro | Complexity may be varied to suit individuals or different species. Good for co-ordination. | |
| Con | Messy due to layers of ripped paper being scattered around the enclosure. | |
| Improvements | Mix food with straw or wood shavings before wrapping. | |
| Comments | Should explain to the public with a sign why enclosure is covered in scraps of torn paper. | |
