Hessian Hammock. Large piece of
hessian sacking suspended from ceiling by ropes or chains attached to each corner. |
| Species |
Chimpanzee, De Brazzas
Monkey, Lion-tailed Macaque, most other monkeys. |
| Purpose |
Mobile soft-textured platform used
as a swing, to lie or sleep in, and if filled with straw, as a mobile foraging area. |
| Pro |
-- |
| Con |
Should ensure that when monkeys
jump into the hammock it will not swing round and trap them. Chimpanzees require very
sturdy sacking. |
