Typhoon Lagoon

[Typhoon Lagoon] Until the opening of Blizzard Beach this was our favourite WDW Water Theme Park.

Bob along on the lazy river which circles the park or be more adventurous on the family raft rides, water slides and chutes. For the very daring "Humunga Kowabunga" beckons, while "Ketchakiddie Creek" is ideal for younger visitors.

Don't forget to explore the undersea reef along with harmless members of the shark family either after a brief introduction to snorkelling or from the convenient sunken shipwreck.

However, the highlight, and focal point of the park, is the lagoon itself. No one can describe the power of these waves, you must experience them yourself - terrific! - but watch the shallows - the bottom is fairly rough and combined with the powerful current during the wave sessions can inflict a painful graze on exposed skin if knocked off balance.

Note: As in all Disney Water Parks, personal flotation devices (arm bands, inflatable rings etc.) are not permitted. Functional, but rather cumbersome, life jackets are provided for non-swimmers.
