Sea World

An easy day's entertainment and sometimes offers 2nd day free admission like Universal Studios.

Arrive as the park opens at 9:00am and collect your timetable of events which will guide you effortlessly through the events of the day so that you don't miss anything.

Each aquatic attraction is housed in its own beautifully maintained pool or lake complete with its own stadium. All you have to do is follow the crowd from one show to the next admiring the landscaped gardens and water fowl en route. [Shamu]

The star of the park is, of course, Shamu - the Killer Whale. The grace and power of these animals is beautiful to witness. The trainers try to make the performances educational as well as entertaining. Don't miss the evening show when the trainers dress in black & white costumes to complement Shamu and her family under the spotlights of Shamu's "Night Magic".

TIP: Try to get to the "Clyde & Seamore" sealion show early. The pre-show entertainment, in the form of the Hotel Bell Boy (a mime artist) is hilarious. How he gets away with some of his cheeky antics defies belief. (Early arrival also avoids the embarrassment of being one of his victims as he shows guests to their seats.

All of Orlando's Theme Parks continually strive to maintain their visitor numbers by periodically introducing new rides and attractions.

In the years since we started visiting Orlando, Sea World has added Pacific Point Reserve (where countless sea lions entertain you with their antics), opened a new Anheuser-Busch Livery Stable featuring the beautiful Clydesdale Horses and built the Journey into Atlantis Ride and Kraken roller coaster.

[Sea World Stunt Show] Pre-show entertainment also rates highly while awaiting the start of the Sea World Stunt Show. Spectacular action, repeated a few times during the day if you wish to see it again. Return to this stadium at the close of the evening to watch the firework spectacular.

TIP: Take some swim wear and a small towel for the children so that they can fully appreciate "Shamu's Happy Harbour" playground.
