This beautiful castle, lovingly crafted with 16 towers, flying buttresses, turrets and spires forms the focal point of the park. Located at the end of Main Street USA and forming a gateway into Fantasyland, the Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant also contains some surprises which make it worth exploring for yourself.

DORMIN.JPG (15501 bytes) From the entrance hall a spiral staircase leads to an upper gallery decorated with stone sculptures and bas-reliefs of squirrels, birds and fairies. Tapestries and 9 incredible stained-glass windows tell the story of  Sleeping Beauty while various tableaux depict scenes from the fairytale. The  gallery leads out to an upper balcony affording views over Fantasyland.

Down in the hallway again, make sure you visit Merlin's Shop from where you can descend down a flight of stairs to the Dragon's Lair - a dungeon where a drowsy dragon lies in a foggy pool, rousing occasionally to snort smoke at his visitors.
