Sponsorship Information

In June 2008 Kirkleatham Owl Centre's new conservation aviaries, "Islands on the Edge" were completed. The aviaries will house threatened, endangered, and critically endangered species, mainly from islands around the world where human intervention has decimated species populations. The new enclosures form an integral part of the Owl Centre's role in conservation and education, and have forged new international links with many organisations who are working to combat the extinction of species.

The programme is not only an ex-situ breeding project but it will also serve to raise funds for field work in the species' native islands and for reintroduction strategies. The work is ongoing and any support in the form of donations and sponsors to the project would be most welcome. Supporters will be acknowledged in the Owl Centre and on the website.

Kirkleatham Owl Centre is proud to be associated with the following people, companies and organisations without whose generous support this project would not have been possible : -

Bob Little & Co. Ltd - Independent Financial Advisers & Mortgage Consultants

Our rehabilitation and education programmes are a major part of the day to day running costs of the Owl Centre and we are constantly aware of the need to raise funds to operate these programmes efficiently. One of the ways we do this is to offer adoption packages to visiting families and schools.

Adopt an Owl, Hawk or Vulture.

Adoption not only makes a unique gift idea for yourself or someone special. You will also be making a valuable contribution to the running costs of Kirkleatham Owl Centre's Conservation & Education Programmes. Prices start at Sixty Pounds for  your own bird. You can also contribute by way of a donation to a particular bird's enclosure. A sign displaying the sponsors name is included in the initial cost and installation is in a prominent place on the enclosure or aviary.
