Another season ends at Kirkleatham, but you can still visit us throughout the winter months. Opening hours are 10.30am to 3.00pm Thursday to Sunday all winter.

Kirkleatham Owl Centre is home to one of the U.K.'s largest collection of owls. Located in the historic and tranquil village of Kirkleatham in the grounds of Kirkleatham Old Hall (Grade 2 * Listed Building).

The Centre is home to a remarkable collection of owls, hawks, falcons and vultures, a very famous  Caracara called "Stanley"; a mysterious talking Raven called "Merlin" and a Kookaburra that finds it almost impossible to keep quiet.

Throughout the summer  season flying displays, meet the baby owls and photo opportunities are held every day, pony rides, children's parties and other on site activities. Some activities may require advance booking,  please telephone for further information. We are open all the summer holidays every day from Tuesday to Sunday and all public holidays with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Opening Hours & Admission Prices

Kirkleatham Owl Centre opened to the public in 1990 and throughout the years has raised awareness to the difficulties facing birds of prey worldwide. Through education, conservation and of course leisure, we will continue to contribute to an improved awareness for all birds of prey throughout the world.

You can help our efforts by visiting us at Kirkleatham or by adopting one of our owls.
