Dear Friends,
We are wanting to recruit volunteers to help in any way they can. Everyone can support us with their prayers and we ask you to continue to do so - pray for the Project, the Management Team, and Mandy, our Project Manager.
We are now asking for anyone in our churches who has a God given gift or talent to come forward and offer their services.
If you can:
Wash-up - we need you!
Make tea - we need you!
Make butties - we need you!
Offer a friendly smile and a chat - we need you!
Now is the time to think what you can do for God's service in this new venture - no talent is too small!
The more people who are involved, the quicker we will see God's Kingdom grow.
Please, do your part - come on

Psalm
4:8 ‘Now I will lie down in peace, and sleep; for Thou alone, O Lord,
makest me live unafraid.
Lord God, light of the
minds that know you,
life of the souls that
love you,
strength of the wills that serve you,
help us so to know you that we may truly love you
and so to love you that we may fully serve you,
whose service is perfect freedom; through Christ our Lord. Amen
Child’s eyes to see, child’s ears to hear –
God grant to me that vision clear.
Grant me the sight of heaven and earth –
Quiet rest at night, day’s glorious mirth.
Help me to hear those little things,
Faint, far and clear, rememberings.
So I may learn fully to praise
Thee for my life of happy days.
J M Westrup
Author Unknown, (Attributed to a
battle weary C.S.A soldier near the end of the war)
I asked God for strength, that I might achieve;
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health, that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all men most richly blessed.
Prayer Christ be Behind Me
by St Augustine
Lord, I commit my failures
as well as my successes
into your hands,
and I bring for your
healing
the people and the
situations,
the wrongs and the
hurts
of the past.
Give me courage,
strength and generosity
to let go and move on,
leaving the past
behind me,
and living the present
to the full.
Lead me always to be
positive
as I ‘entrust the past
to your mercy,
the present to your
love,
and the future to your
providence’.
A Christian is never in a state of completion but always in a process of becoming.
Martin Luther
