Here are a number of snippets from e-mail lists (SALGlider and Allegro-Lite) that discuss control runs options and benefits.

As always there is a hard and easy way to do this.

My way is to use matched tube and wire (I try to supply Sets with horns to make this easy but keep running out.

Golden rules using this approach:

 - Always de-burr the wire ends before use and whenever they are cut

 - Fully support the tube. That means from end to end with fillets at each end and glued on the entire length.

 - If possible fit with a slightly larger wire inside the tube. Once secured remove the larger wire and fit the control run proper.... should run real easy.

 - The tube needs supporting inside the pod/fuz front. If you controls seem soft or spongy check it has not come loose. Flexing the control surface will show up any sections of the tube that have come unglued.

 - FRESH cyano seems to work a lot better (if you are struggling then a fresh batch of Cyano may be needed)

I tack glue the ends with medium Cyano and then run a drop of thin Cyano down the entire length on the outside of the boom.
