Here's a view of my attempts at creating RDS pockets and Wiper system for my DLGs.

Great link on the Charles River SuperGee II site.

Pockets

I create a Teflon bearing surface, backed by Uni-Carbon and Balsa. Then fabricate a box of the desired width with hard wood sides. Finally divide into separate blocks to create pockets from.

These will need sanding down into a wedge shape to become a lose fit into a control surface. The pocket has very little splitting resistance and so needs to be wrapped in lightweight glass cloth when it is installed.

I also create a hybrid tube from 3.2mm O/D Pulltruded carbon tube (which has a 1.6mm I/D to match my wiper wires) wrapped in a carbon braid to increase torsional stiffness and burst strength.

Driver Tube and Yoke

The RDS driver tube needs a yoke added to engage the Servo Output arm. I use a simple jig made from two servo arms to give me the parallel alignment of pins and tube. Then wrap with carbon tow and add thin cyano to make a solid, light Yoke.

It may not look neat but it's strong and light.
