Here's how wide a fuselage need to be.

The servo's are C1081's (i.e. 10mm thick) and the fuselage is 15mm thick on the inside. The control wires are 0.016" piano wire in teflon tubes. The bigger tube you can just see is a buried outer, built in during construction.
