I've included in this section a few facts for anybody new to this area of our hobby and links to the technical stuff likes rules, etc. There are also a number of tables with useful conversions or data in them (I have some of these printed out and stuck up on the workshop wall, saves time doing things like looking for a metric drill to match a AWG gauge wire).
Some links are to pages here and some to external sites.

Competition Rules and Strategies

Rules for F3K The class allows for any number of functions on a 1.5m span glider that is launched by the pilot throwing it. Strictly its Hand Launch Gliders but you get much higher by Discuss launching (60-70m has been claimed). There is a max weight of 600g but to be competitive people aim to be below 300g (though lots fly heavier!!)

DLG Gliders are very capable soaring machines....My personal best is 41 Minutes, reaching a height of around 500m. All from a discuss launch and hot air.... I know I smiled for a week.
