The images below show my take on tail surface mounts. Again heavily based upon other designs but in mine adapted to use two wire pins into a ally tube embedded into the tail during fabrication.
Materials used in construction. V-Mount is bagged onto a form with a shiny tape surface and Peel Ply the other (for weight reduction).

They come out pretty light (more sanding can reduce the weight below 1g)

A completed mount in use... 4 or 5 flying sessions so far on this one and
it's holding up well.
