Can You Beat This?
GobFM's furthest flung listeners are the family of Denise's cousin, David, in New Zealand.
David and his wife Vicky, and their son Daynom deserve a very special mention. Why? Because they sent us the following email back in February 2002:
Well congratulations! You obviously sold your apartment and moved into a house. How we know you were going to sell is the last GobFM tape. Now I really think we might be up for some sort of mention here. As everyone knows Christmas has come and gone. We took about 10 days off including Christmas day..yeh! first time in 15 years I didn't cook.. loved every minute of the day. Had an awsome break, not a race car track for miles but plenty of wineries. We had no fixed plans other than Christmas day so packed a bag, filled the car with gas and seeing as our CD stacker knackered itself the day before Christmas we needed to have music for this trip. What a dilemma...but wait! GobFM tapes! Grabbed all we could find, so there is some history there. We listened to each one, one after another, and managed to get through EIGHT before we were home,
(Ed: I reckon that's getting on for 12 hours worth!)
enjoyed everyone ...each one different from the last. We listened to them in no particluar order. So, that may get a mention in the next GobFM. Of course, we could be wrong here and others from your fan club could also boast that they have listened to that many, one after another, we will wait to hear!
Such devotion and loyalty....., fair brings a tear to the eye.... I mean, it's not as if these folks are short of excitement in their lives - Daynom (a.k.a. "Slim") is a Formula 3 racing driver for heaven's sake! If you don't believe me then check out his website at:

So, can anyone beat this marathon feat? We'd love to know!
