The Gobmeister is now struggling to adequately convey his amazement at the latest rich seam of "Bonkers Batteries" to have been unearthed. This first nuggett comes with a rather damning indictment of Brian, Kathy, and Stewart. "Why on earth's that then?" you may ask. Well, because The Gobmeister found these batteries lurking in the remote control of an air cooler in Brian & Kathy's home, where Stewart had already been visiting for several hours! Dereliction of battery-hunting duties is punishable by ridicule and rib-poking. They should consider themselves duly warned!
Yes, that's "555"!
If only Stewart (a.k.a. "Mr.5") had found these, it would have been perfect, wouldn't it?
What a shame!
Spinmeister Robert on the other hand, ably assisted and encouraged by hunting partner John ("Johnny English") Harrison, had great success in Romford with three excellent finds in one day. Here are two for starters:
Sanway! Found included with a pentorch.
Nice livery!
"Rorex"! Ooh, snazzy!
The Spinmeister however was understandably more chuffed with this third one. The reason for which will be apparent from the third of the three pictures:
"BATTERYCARE" from Robby's Cash & Carry emporium.
Twenty-four batteries for one of your Great British Pounds!
They can't be any good at all, can they?
Following hot on the heels of that triple-whammy from Spinmeister Robert, here's a superb double-whammy from The Gobmeister himself! These both came from a cheapo shop in Hastings. The first of which is another pentorch AAA battery.

Yes, it really does say "Hongming"! And interestingly the livery bears a remarkable resemblance to that "Sanway" effort from earlier - which also came with a pentorch.
Here they are side by side for comparison:
The second offering from The Gobmeister's double-whammy also comes with a small torch. Here are the torch and the battery:

"Yongfengdianchi" surely takes the prize for the longest and most bonkers name so far!
Having had to berate Stewart so harshly earlier on, it is soothing to be able to report that he has scored at least one success for this round. This slightly French sounding brand was found in the remote control to a Freeview digital TV unit.
"Dubilier"? Trés bien monsieur! Merci beaucoup!
This next one erupted into the life of The Gobmeister courtesy of the cheapo shop in Corringham - opposite where The Gobmeister practices his optometric skills.
Hot stuff!
