RADIO TELEPHONY COURSES

Radiotelephony Course (RT). 2003
Prepares the applicant to sit the RT theory and practical examinations.
The Course:
The course will take place
over 3 evenings from 1800 to 2100 on Thursdays.
Cost: £60
Venue: Little Gransden or Cambridge area.
Pre course study:
The course is structured to
require some pre-course study.
A basic knowledge of CAP
413 is essential.
It would be worth reading
the safety sense leaflet 22, RT discipline, course notes and relevant AIC's.
I have put these on a CD,
but up to date versions can be found on the CAA website.
Theory test:
After the first session it
is usual to sit the theory paper before attending the next session.
Basic outline of
practical test:
Examiner :Arwyn Jones
Allow just over one hour
for the test. This will include:
1. A briefing.
2. Time to plan.
Schematic diagram, not
chart for test
3. 20 minute flight.

is a useful reference book for the examination for the Flight
Radiotelephony Operator’s (Restricted) Licence.
The main change in Edition 13 is the incorporation of more
detailed examples of phraseology for Flight Information Service
Officers and Air/Ground Communication Service Operators, in
addition to minor editorial corrections, rearrangement of pages
and revised text. |
