Hi there. In case you didn’t know, I’m the guy who updates the website with fixtures and results and league tables and the like. I am also the guy who receives the emails sent to this website. I try to answer as many of them as I can or at least, pass them on to a more appropriate person.
Over the latter half of the Outdoor Season, the email traffic in to me has been quite heavy regarding updates to league tables and ‘are we in the playoffs ?’ and all that kind of thing. Unfortunately I have been unable to answer these as I simply do not know.
In my line of work there’s a regularly used phrase which is ‘if you put rubbish in, you get rubbish out’. to paraphase that - ‘if you put nothing in, you get nothing out’. I can only update the website when I am sent updates and quite simply, I’m not being sent any. Consequently, the website is pretty useless.
The Indoor Season is nearly upon us and I will be updating the site on a weekly basis. In order to do this, I need the results sheets in on time. I would also like to encourage the Indoor League sides to drop an email to the website which simply tells the points earned for the match. You don’t have to do this obviously... (Geoff won’t fine you if you don’t !!!) but it would mean more chance of the website being up to date and at least half way useful.
