Assetport Limited was born when I'd been made redundant at British Gas (in a mass cull) in 1995.
I was a PL/1 mainframe Programmer (and still am) who had suddenly lost the security blanket of having a large company pay me every month regardless of what I did. It was time to stand up on my own and so I decided to go freelance. Before I could do this I had to do the necessary evils of getting an Accountant and a Limited Company. Assetport Limited the name, was assigned to me, fast forward to now and .... I'm still selling my PL/1 skills to whoever is interested and have decided for various reasons to branch out into web design. Call it a new challenge.
At present the company consists of my wife and myself.
My wife is the Secretary and spends her time marketing us to small conpanies in need of a web presence and I'm the one who does the actual work.
I want to make it possible for anyone, however small, to have a web presence if they want one. It doesn't have to cost the earth and
you don't have to be patronised by a nerd who thinks it's his mission to make your life miserable.
