Steve Kilsby

Steve works as Neighbourhood Services Manager for Oxford City Council, which entails managing the anti social behaviour team ("CANAcT"), the City's Street Wardens team, and the City Council end of the police/City Council CCTV partnership. The common thread in these areas is the tackling of crime and anti social behaviour, with a goodly dollop of community engagement thrown in!

Steve has worked for the City Council for 18 years, and has been in local government for more than a quarter of a century. He was previously a housing officer, and brings this background, as well as his experiences as an elected member of Cherwell District Council (1991-1999), to his present job.

Although the CANAcT team is a City Council unit, it is one of the few that has "permission to trade", which means it also carries out work for, and builds links with, other Local Authorities and (primarily) Housing Associations.
