As we have been to
this location three times before, we have a pretty good idea what to expect
Well that’s what we
thought.
The manor is described
on the previous report; it’s simply the oldest house in Portsmouth
Add to that, So many
different people have reported ghosts here for hundreds of years
It was a cold night,
which I guess added to the ambiance of the evening as Members of
Ghostvigils team met
with Members of Ukprs for this overnight investigation at this incredible
Location.
We are often asked why
we return to some locations and not others
Well the only answer I
can give, is experience this place once and you will want to return
It is a magnet for
paranormal investigators, and rarely disappoints it visitors.
We split into groups
of about five or six people and divided the house into areas
Each group would
investigate each area in turn
We did group séance,
EVP, Dousing, Glass and board experiments, and ground readings taken
with EMF equipment
before and during the vigils.
It was all very
interesting, with knocks and bangs being experienced in several locations
Not that conclusive,
but enjoyable never the less.
Until that is we
decided to try Table tipping in one of the rooms near the balcony
We had doused the area
and found that this seemed to be the place with most localised energy points.
It’s true to say that
the real nasty spirits that have been reported here, had not come through
for us before, we only
knew of them from reports from other investigations
We knew their names
and the fact that they were vile people when the lived and they had not changed
much with the passing of time and of course themselves.
Using a small table
five of our group stood around it placing our fingertips lightly two inches in
from the edge of the table
All our fingers and
thumbs from both hands. One other member recorded the vigil on a Video camera
We went through our
protection rituals and then began to call out for spirit to contact us.
Using our shared
energy, to move the table as a sign of presence.
At first the table
seems to vibrate very gently, which at first I put down to our involuntary
motion
But as we asked are
you female, it movement was more pronounced.
We had earlier
contacted a little girl call “Beth”
(Now she was a regular
here and followed people about in the house).
While doing a glass
experiment earlier we contacted her and she seemed very friendly and playful.
We asked if this was
Beth and the table tipped up about 45 degrees towards the person asking the
question. Each time a question was asked, the table would tip toward them.
We asked if she could
turn the table around, the table then tilted on one leg and turned round
pivoting on the one leg, the five people walking round and round in a circle trying
to keep up with the table.
The Camera was on
recording all this and more, clearly none of us could be controlling this.
Then it stopped and it
got colder, that is to say if felt colder in the room, and three people
mentioned it.
Then the table moved again,
as before it tilted left to right and 45 degrees, and seemed balanced in that
position. The atmosphere was different now, much more oppressive, we felt
uneasy and we all felt that this was not the little girl.
We asked if this was
the same spirit, the table stayed as it was, we asked if the spirit had
communicated with us before, the table slammed down on the floor.
Whatever or whoever
this was it was more powerful
The Medium knew of the
so-called bad spirits and asked if this was Edward, the table tilted up as
before but much more quickly.
For some reason the
Medium started to antagonise and goad the spirit as if he really did not like
him
Saying: - I know you
and you know me, you a “bastard” a “coward”
Somewhat alarming we
continued as a group
This did have the
desired effect, the table move back and forward left to right rocking to
incredible angles and at speeds which were amazing, almost pendulum like in its
timing.
Over and over again
more and more violently the table titled up one way then the other.
We asked could he lift
the table off the ground, the table kept on tilting.
Gasps from the room as
this continued more and more violently.
We asked if he could
turn the table as the little girl had done
The Table then reared
up on one leg and started to turn and then spin round, we were all running
round trying to keep up with it, trying to keep our fingers in contact with the
table
Then the table stopped
with a judder, and then started again rocking from side to side
Astonishing this
appeared to be another spirit, (and it was). It was the most notorious sprit in
the place
“Michael”. The Medium
sensed it was him and asked, the table jolted toward him in response
Again the Medium
started to goad this spirit as before, and again the effect was immediate.
The table jolted up
again at an angle and started to rock and tilt from side to side as before
This was not for the
faint hearted, scary stuff, but at the same time exciting and we were compelled
to
Continue.
“The Other group
had come to witness what was happening it was so impressive and
Compulsive stuff,
all wanted a piece of this action”
The medium asked if he
could spin the table as before, and on cue the table lifted onto one leg and
started to turn and build up speed, again we found ourselves running round in a
circle trying to keep up with the table
“Faster” “Faster” the
medium cried and the table moved accordingly
It seemed to be
spinning for ages; we were getting out of breath,
Then it just stopped,
The Medium said they
had not finished with us, but for now they had stopped
.
We took a break. Wow!
Did we need one?
Everybody was buzzing;
no one had seen such violent activity before, when both our groups met
And talked about these
events it was decided that the other group would retry our last vigil, and we
would move to the balcony.
I can only say the
Balcony which we believed and had experience strong activity in the past
Was as flat as I have
seen anywhere, all we could here was the noises from the room we had just
occupied. The noise from the other group, who it seemed were getting everything
we did and more.
After about 15 minutes
the other group appeared saying it was both of them, they actually seemed
worried.
We tried to return to
the room but the door would not open, it seemed locked. In fact is was jammed
The only access now
was from the connecting room.
Theses spirits were
reported to be most active from the music room down stairs yet here they were
upstairs. It was decided that we would try again, this time as one large group
and locate in the music room.
We all re-grouped in
the music room or room 4.
No one knew what to
expect if anything, would these sprits follow us back to their own lair
Our imaginations were
rife, or was it something more
11 of us now in the
Music room, one filming just in case, two sitting this out watching closely
the rest all up for
anything now.
I thought to myself if
one of our resident mediums was here they would not of permitted any of this
It really was
dangerous.
You see if a spirit
can move a heavy object with such ease, then they had the ability to do actual
harm
to the people in that
room. And that is a sobering thought.
We tried to use the
large table but it was too big and heavy, so we tried a smaller table, this
time they had no difficulty, straight away the table moved with such force it
was pushed over.
The Medium was right
these spirits had not finished with us.
The table was now
moving so fast we could not keep up with it, each time it would move from side
to side, then round and round, more and more violently, they were playing with
us, although it eludes me as to their purpose.
This went on for about
twenty minutes, to the point when only three people were still trying to keep
up with it, and at one stage only one person was in contact with the table and
it was still spinning round like a top.
It finally stopped and
went calm, I am not sure if they or us were tired, but that signalled the end
of the night.

Because and this is it
really, it does not matter how sceptical your are, when you have experienced so
much that has not been explained you have to come to the conclusion that there
is something there
