The Barn - The Climax Of Annie - Visit 3

 

 

 

As I have reported on this location on two previous occasions, it will need no introduction by most readers.

Each time I advertise that www.ghostvigils.com is coming here the event fills up straight away.

At least ghost hunters want to come here even if nobody else dares to.

Those that have been here before are the first to sign up to come again.

 

This place is a magnet for spirit, and with at least two separate traumatic incidents associated with it

It is also a magnet for the macabre in life.

 

Why this location? I don’t know, how can this happen? Again I just don’t know

I do know that there is something really strange about this place; it feels wrong, and each time

I come here it does not disappoint from a ghost hunters point of view

As far as I can tell and according to the various Mediums that have visited here it is always active.

 

I had come to find the Spirit of Anne, would she come forward, would she talk to us again

If you have read the previous reports from the Barn, my reasons become obvious.

 

This time nine attended including two mediums and a sensitive, ideal for this venue

 

We all arrived about 20:00 while there was still some daylight; we did a walk round the area

The “Barn” itself, the “Back room of the Barn”, the “Rear Barn separate to the main barn”, and the “Bridal Path”,

which is behind the barn leading up to the fields and open countryside.

 

In the main barn itself both our Mediums that night picked up on a Menacing spirit near the rear of the barn at the doorway.

Both clearly got the name George and he was not happy around women or strong women.

“A Misogamist Spirit well it was a first”,

Actually this character was around all night and the other spirits we contacted were all wary of him for some reason.

 

Dark fell at 21:00 and our Investigation began and the main Barn was our first stop

It was decided to start with a flourish, and encourage the spirits to come forward and talk to us

They needed little encouragement, and queued up to talk to us, I only wanted to speak to Anne

But I had to wait.

We used a glass with one person using a camera and two observing six then placed their fingers

Lightly touching the edge of the glass.

The table for those whom missed the previous reports is about 7 feet long and made of heavy wood.

No single person could lift it.

It is also about 3 foot wide so reaching the glass when it started to move was at times difficult.

 

Protection is vital here, we really don’t know what or who would come through

And later we were very glad of it.

(Protection is described elsewhere on this site)

 

Move is exactly what the glass did, although it took a minute or so get going

We asked the spirit to use movement as yes and no movement as no

The table was dusty and the glass did not move smoothly on this surface

We moved the glass onto our Yes / No Board,, which is circular has the words

Yes at the top, No at the bottom, Hello to the left and Goodbye to the Right

It’s very smooth and the glass will glide across it more easily.

 

One member felt something touch her leg, and again the spirit man at the back

was felt to be still watching us

.

With a series of Yes / No questions we established the spirit coming through was a male

He had lived here but not worked here, he was married with three children, he was a First World War veteran.

He had seen action in Belgium, and he survived the war but was injured in the stomach

He was later a landowner, and gave the name Godfrey, and had an Irish connection.

 

Another spirit moved the glass to hello.

One Medium sensed it was the spirit of a young female or a girl.

We asked if she was connected to the building

She was, she had talked to us before, and she had been killed.

By using the alphabet letter by letter we established that this was indeed Anne

“Her name was actually Ann but preferred to be called Anne”

Her energy was not strong and she was afraid of the spirit in the corner

He was ever present and the Mediums were trying to push him away.

We asked how Anne had died; one medium sensed a strangling sensation

As far as we know the cause of her death had not been officially released

She disappeared on the 18^th December 1957,though not killed on that date

Her attacker had a car and was known to her, and gave the message “Policeman”.

 

“ I had talked to the Police records office since our last visit,

   Asking for the case files or information, re Anne to confirm or refute

    The information we had.

According to the freedom of Information act this should have been available after 30 years

    This access has been refused on two counts.

                The case was still open, as no culprit had been found

               And a rule 40 meaning the suspects at the time would be named in the case file

                Which would infringe their rights.”

> The Section 40 exemption applied the entire file as it contains

> Unsubstantiated allegations of a criminal nature against identifiable

> Living individuals considered suspects in the murder that would seriously

> Damage the integrity and reputation of the identifiable living individuals

> if released.

 

I explained this at the table.

Our Medium said that the energy of Anne was not strong and she would try to trance

her in the other room away from the menacing spirit in the corner.

The glass moved differently now, another spirit had come through

Spelled his name as Michael Godfrey, (was this the man earlier?)

He seemed to tell us what we wanted to know I found to be not very believable

A practical joker, we did not have a problem with that, after all it was contact

 

Another spirit came through as the glass moved to hello,

The Medium stood up and said assertively  “Break the link” that her spirit guide had warned her

To stop now and break the link straight away, we did exactly that.

I was full of questions as to who this spirit could be, but she did not know.

 

We took break time for Coffee, and a recap.

And talk about the events so far, for me I had three questions

Who was the angry spirit “George” watching our every move?

Who or what was the spirit that forced us the break the link?

But mostly could we contact Anne again?

Once we believed the barn was clear of the uninvited guest we returned to our vigil

This time we would try something different a Planchette on Paper

To explain a Planchette is a triangular or round piece of wood with a pencil

Pushed through the piece of wood and touching the paper below.

We placed our fingertips on the piece of wood and asked spirit to write or draw something

in order to communicate with us.

 

I had not seen this before and was astonished as the Planchette did move firstly at the speed at which it moved and the distance it covered.

The Table as I said earlier was 7 foot long and what was basically upturned limning (wall) paper was laid flat to its length

The first spirit to joins us was male, again movement denoted a yes answer

He drew some unusual shapes, which I could not identify, but some thought they could see something

in them. Then it drew what was quite clearly a Heart shape with a line through it.

As to its meaning well, did he die of a broken heart?  a heart attack?

Or perhaps he was proclaiming his devoted love for one of our group, ok a bit flippant, it was very entertaining,

However this was unlikely to produce the answer to the meaning of life.

Another spirit took over, this time she spelled out her name “Millie” aged 8, and again the

Planchette went mad, drawing lines up and down the length of the paper, and the odd shape, which again I could not recognise.

I was watching now very closely. Nobody appeared to be in anyway in control of the Planchette, and it moved and in all directions, randomly.

 

It was break time again, and all were feeling a lot better now

Table Tipping

 

As an entertainment this is one of the more amazing experiments that we do

When it works, it shows physical movement of a table from a power source that is unidentifiable

 

In the Small Barn to the rear of the main Barn

I doused for energy, a pocket of energy was located under a beam just to the right of the centre of the room

Both our Mediums got a sense of someone being hanged here, this of course could be the atmospheric location

Or perhaps the fact that the beams in this Barn look ideal for that very purpose made it sound believable

It could of course have a somewhat more sinister meaning.

I could not see how the barn as it now would have been used for such a purpose,

Of course these buildings may of looked very different years ago and would have had a variety of uses.

 

Both mediums were picking up children’s energy, running around.

We placed a three legged small table over the energy spot and sat four chairs around it

With the “Sensitive” walking in a circular movement around the room picking up feelings and emotions,

We began, placing our fingertips on top of the table.

A camera was filming the whole thing and I was watching closely to ensure no other contact was being made with the table.

Specifically monitoring under the table. “There Wasn’t”

 

I was not taking part only observing, this gave me a vantage point that I had not experienced.

They called out for spirit to come forward, and move the table. After a while they noticed or felt that the table was vibrating.

It was not visible to me, until they called out for the boy to push the table over

Slowly the table tilted up and an angle of 45 degrees, and stayed there.

I suggested that someone gently push down on the table to measure the force that had control of it.

The resistance was considerable when you remember that the table is quite light.

 

The table fell back to its original standing position, then they called out again this time for the little girl

To come forward and move the table, and sure enough it tilted as before in the opposite direction.

It was a game now with the children pitted against each other. Several times the table would tilt one way and then the other.

It was amusing to all concerned, but after a while the table stopped tilting

We thanked the children and closed the vigil.

Trance and Séance

 

We reformed in the rest area away from the main Barn; the idea was for one of the mediums to try and trance Anne.

Basically this involves the group sitting around the table building shared energy.

The Medium going into a trance state, calling for Anne to come forward and speak to us all channelled through the Medium.

 

When I saw this before the Medium involved was physically affected in that her features appeared to 

“Change” in front of my eyes. (See report “A Case of what you are prepared to believe)

 

The Medium contacted Anne and she was keen to talk to us, but Anne was hysterically crying over her ordeal.

The Medium called upon her spirit guide to talk to Anne, she knew we only wanted to help

After a while the message started to come through, we had most of the story now, but could not progress it further in this life.

Anne needed piece and that is what the Medium suggested we do, Anne was happy to finally move on

A ritual was performed, by all present, in which Anne spirit was helped to move on, to join her family that had already passed.

 

It is a very different process than I have seen on certain TV programs, and very emotional

But the Atmosphere in that room afterwards was, well I can only describe as peaceful.

 

And that was the end of the Nights Vigil. Time to go home and reflect on the events that had passed

 

 

 

Vigil Conclusion

 

Anne’s story is touching and emotive.

The bare facts are in the public domain,

Anne was a 17-year-old girl Murdered in December 1957, before most of us were even born

The case was never solved and no one has been convicted of this crime and the case is still open.

No time limit is set on Murder cases.

The cause of her death was not officially released

The date she was killed has not been officially released only the date of her disappearance and the date when the body was found.

The fact that this was a sexually motivated crime has not been officially released

The body was found in a semi frozen state, it is believed the body was stored in a freezer type unit.

There were such items situated at the barn at the time in question.

Such units would have been very rare in 1957.

 

We have a story a scenario if you like, what we believe may have occurred, but we cannot prove it

The Police have little interest in this now and the records needed to confirm or deny our findings are firmly locked away from us.

We have to ask would it serve a useful purpose now pursuing this further.

 

We did not go back to the Barn to investigate the Spirit George watching our every moment

Perhaps next time, because we will be back

Until then I doubt anybody will go near this place. It will be exactly as we left it.
