You would of thought that because we found the Barn so disturbing the first time
That it would be the last place re would revisit.
This being the venue for at least two Murders, and believed to be an open vortex for spirit
Yet on February 10th 2007 I found myself standing in the doors of this woeful place, ready
to start yet another investigation.
I think the whole; team eleven in all viewed this place with suspicions, and all were wary
some because they know nothing of this place, and the others because they knew it to well.
The team was a little different this time six had returned, and five were drafted in.
The Barn itself had changed little since our first visit, not many would have ventured near this place between then and now, The owner said that she and her friend went back to the barn the morning
after our first visit and although it was a hot summers day, when they entered the barn they felt
it was bitterly cold, and even in the daylight hours, that was more than enough for them.
Ok I guess the night’s activities were fresh in their minds and, they would have been in their minds
that something may be amiss bit never the less I am not surprised.
To describe the barn as before.
“The barn itself is approximately 30’ square with a small 10’ square
room attached at the back
It is mostly brick built to half its height and has wooden sides and
roof, all appeared to be in good order
The barns as it is now appears to of been modified from a previous building
as the brickwork would
appear to be considerably older that the wooden sections.
In the barn was a straw covered uneven concrete floor, with a multitude
of items long since abandoned
A car from 40 years ago, a scooter recently put there for want of
storage, straw bails, and old gas cylinders presumably empty. The
small-attached room was full of items related to auto mechanics
of similar period to that of the car, and a couple of work benches
which had both seen better days
In the rear centre of the barn was a large heavy wooden flat table,
which would suit our purpose very well
If were a dinning table would seat 10 people easily.
We placed around it makeshift chairs to seat all of us”
Our rest area or Base camp for the evening was a separate outbuilding that had been created for the owners family as a music room. Well away from earshot or the main house as her son and friends practiced their band here.
Although nothing had been reported here, one of our number, a sensitive suggested that this place was also active and should be Investigated.
The Barn.
This time we wanted to check out the back room and the main area at the same time.
We had three Video cameras on hand two in the barn and one in out rest area locked off
Covering 90% of the room “If a Ghost did nick my sandwiches I would know of it”
The two cameras in the Barn were end of the table ensuring we would capture anything
That occurred. Also covering the doorway to the rear room.
With eleven in our group, two operating the cameras and monitoring the environment
Using EMF readers and thermal temperature lasers to the rear of the barn.
Nine then sat around the table.
We sat quietly for a while taking in the atmosphere, listening, and then calling out for spirit
to communicate with us. There were so many creaks and whooshes, the rain beating down on the roof
and the obligatory leeks that all barns seem to have dripping inside the barn, in at least three area’s that it felt uncomfortable before we started. “And it was going to get a lot worse”
We could not really tell if the noises were in answer to our calling out or not so it was decided to use
A glass.
The Glass was placed on the centre of the table; the table; remember is eight feet long and three feet wide, so only 5 at a time could place a finger on the glass.
Our Medium then went through the protection routine, not described here, as this is not something we advocate people experiment with.

After that five of our group placed out fingers on the glass, as the other watched intently
We called out again for spirit to contact us; to use our collective energy’s to move the glass
At first nothing happened and it seemed an age before the glass finally moved,
In reality about 2 minutes “But two
minutes is a long time in a state of suspense”
The glass moved weekly about 2 inches. At first and then more as we asked our questions
When a definite answer came the glass move very quickly and assertively, when the spirits
Point was being made. Clearly this spirit wanted to say something.
“Now with four people closely observing the proceedings and two locked off cameras covering the event, I defy anybody to claim that this was a fix.”
We asked, was the spirit male/female? What was their name? What was their age? When did they die?
How did they die?
As the answers came back it dawned upon some of us, we knew who this was, we knew what this spirit would say, We had not only been here before, but we were in contact with the same spirit. I am not sure what this meant exactly but it freaked out some at the table.
Her name was Ann; she was 17 when she died. Her life was taken from her in 1957. She was angry,
And wanted us to find her killer. We asked for his name, was he still alive, and did he live near by,
By going through the alphabet letter by letter we established a name, and that he still lived, he would be
an old man now in his 70’s or 80’s. He had never been caught, never been punished.
“All very melodramatic of course, but with such exact information, could this be true? And what do we do now?”
We carried on, trying to find more, where we could find this man, and what she wanted us to do?
She said he was north of here but not far a few miles only, maybe 20 miles no more. We mentioned many places until eventually someone said Woburn, the glass shot to one side. Jackpot, we now knew where to look.
We now have a full name and age of the killer and an area to look for him, and of course we will.
We asked was she the only one who was hurt here? Did this man harm anybody else?
She replied that there was another person killed here, but not by her killer.
As you may imagine we were not ready for this, two Murders, two different Killers.
“My personal concern is if this checks
out,
a) what do we do, I can’t see us going
up to a 70or 80 something
year old man and saying we believed he
killed a girl 50 years ago. “Might not go down too well”
Also we can’t go to the police, they may
suspect we have been drinking or worse,
“b) if it does check out what have we
then proven as far as our search to prove intelligence surviving
mortal death”
c) if it does not check out, does it
prove or disprove anything

This experience was too much for one of our group and they were taken out, it was the end of the night for them.
The ten now took a break, it was cold and we needed coffee and to talk about what had just happened
You may imagine, our views differed widely as to what we believed and our next course of action.
After the break, went back, this time with a spirit board, I guess I need to explain a spirit board is
quite unique. This one is about 2ft Square and comprises of several rings
Each ring is different containing letters, numbers, symbols (each with their own meaning), animals, compass points and specific words, such as yes or no or again, teach, learn etc
Its new to me and hard to explain, but I guess you will get the gist of it.
In appearance it looks like a Monopoly Board or a Snakes and Ladders Board and comes in a box
It has it’s own instruction booklet and possible meanings for the various symbols.
To operate the board you use a small flat round piece of glass which glides easily across the board
Each person places his or her finger gently on the edge of it.
Then we call out for spirit, to share our energy and communicate with us by moving the glass over a word or phrase etc
As before the protection routines were followed implicitly, because where this is not a Ouija board
In its true form, it’s a close enough cousin. “As they say kids “do not try this at home””
Once again two of our group were working cameras and EMF readers etc
Eight of us left then, sat around the table, with five or six of us taking part and the others observing.
This I thought was going to be interesting.
We called out for spirit to communicate with us; our medium believed several spirits were here
At first as before it took a while for the glass disc to move, then it did move seemingly towards one of our group and not to any identifiable area of the board.
This particular group member is sensitive and mediumistic; she is in contact with her spirit guide
And believed this was he.
We asked if this was he, was there other spirit here, would they trust us, to talk to us.
The reply was that, yes as many as 8 spirits were present. We asked did he have a message for us?
Would he bring the other spirits in?
No,
We were baffled, what was happening? Why would he not let the other spirits talk to us?
It dawned upon us that he was protecting us, but why? and from what?
We asked if the spirits waiting to talk to us did not have good intentions?
The glass moved to the number 1.
We asked who it was? We had been told that Ann’s killer was still alive.
The glass moved over the word “West”
What did this mean a direction? A name?
When we said name the glass moved to yes.
Who was he or she? Did they have a connection to anything we had herd tonight?
Yes came back.
Was he connected to the girl Wendy?
Yes again.
Did he kill Wendy?
Yes again.
I remembered from the first visit to the barn that one of the spirits told us that there was a body buried here, was this Wendy.
Yes again.
We went through the alphabet to establish his full name.
In effect we have now been told of two killers, one who took the life of a little girl and had since died
And one who took the life of the spirit known as Ann and may still be alive.
“It was break time again, more much
needed coffee, and I wanted to see if my sandwiches were still
There, which now I started to doubt.”
The revelations of this night will be long remembered, it’s hard not to believe this, yet the sceptic
In me told me that it cannot be true and that there had to be another explanation.
It’s just that I could not think what it could be.
On our return, which was hinged with some in-trepidation, we decided to douse, try and find the energy point of this room see if we could with rods and crystal find the location of the girl Wendy’s body
Dousing is frowned upon in so many circles, but I don’t know why.
I guess because it leaves so much to misinterpretation, that it is discredited. I would say in arid areas around the world people still do douse for water it is a serious matter for them.
Dousing for spirit or energy has no such credibility, although I have experienced some interesting results with it. (See the report from the Old Maypole)
Four people tried to douse the Barn two of whom had never done this before; I withdrew from this as I found the energy point before the last time I was here. Every one found the same point in the room
without exception. Of course it does not prove anything, but it is a remarkable coincidence
We did not find the location of the body with the rods, and if we had, the owners were not about to allow us to dig up the floor.
This was pretty much the end of the night,, all were tired and somewhat confused, all were determined to be scouring the internet trying to find anything to support what we had found.
Home then, tomorrow was going to be a busy day.
We have found out since the Vigil
A girl called Anne was murdered in 1957 near the barn
Her body was believed to of been put in a freezer at the barn and later dumped elsewhere
The surname we got for her at the vigil was correct and matched the
Information in the record books
No body was ever convicted of this crime
No record of the Murderer name has been found in the local vicinity
Alive or Dead We are continuing to look into this into near vicinities
We already knew of the Girl Ann or Anne, from our first visit
No evidence of a missing 6-year-old girl has yet been found not locally anyway.
The name given as to Wendy’s killer is a common name and several are found in this vicinity
The name given for Ann’s killer was somewhat more unique; we have not yet found a person
Matching this name, we are still looking.
The Barn is probably the most interesting vigil I have experienced, we will be back.
This place has secrets and these need to be found out.
The only definite answer I can give is that Ann lived and died, young, that his place had something to do with it and just maybe she is still here.
