So What would you ask a Ghost Hunter ?

I am often asked, questions about Ghost Hunting. Most people are interested if not
scared or too apprehensive to participate.
Never the less they all want to know what happened afterwards.

The adage that, nobody really believes in ghosts, but everybody has a ghost story to tell is certainly true. Ask yourself this?

Of course number one question is have I seen a ghost?

I always respond, "Well no I have never seen a ghost, its is the Quest which
spurs me on.

The quest for the uninitiated is the search for inelegance surviving mortal death.

(Yep I just read a book about it)

Loads of people throughout the ages have asked is this all we are? Is there nothing more? Hence someone said once that if there was no God there would be a need to invent one, well not an exact quote of course but you get the gist of it.

Before those with religious convictions of some description, start getting a bit aggrieved I am not saying God does not exist I leave that to your personnel conscience. I maintain however that mans vanity makes the above statement true.

Basically seeing a ghost is not everything.

I have felt and heard so much you see, I have seen glasses fly of tables, I have seen tables walk across a room. I have heard things being thrown and felt cold spots all over. I have experienced many vigils in all sorts of locations, but as yet I have not seen a ghost.

On a recent séance's I participated in we contacted one of my family members who gave information only known to me.

In January 2007
Our intrepid group did a vigil at a hotel/b&b where strange things had been reported

We were not told of these experiences, only that they had occurred.
One experiment was a séance with glass and candle

Several spirits came to the table, but one came through with a personal message for one of our group "eh me in this case" from a relative. "I thought this should be fun."
When we asked for her name it came across as Emma, now I did have an aunt Emma my grandfathers sister, but knew her by a different name, which only I knew, no one else at the table could know this.
I asked her to spell out the name that I knew her by and she did. I took my finger away from the glass while this was done, so I could not influence the answer.

She also gave information on an event between her and myself that only the two of us could of known. Just before she died she asked me to teach her to play patience. She had seen me play it and was interested, to my regret she died before I got round to it.

To me this was as impressive as it gets and I cannot offer an alternate explanation to this other then it was genuine.

Mediums

If they are real and views on this differ widely. Then they are truly gifted individuals.
I have experience of several Mediums, some I have grave doubt's about, but a couple I have real time for.

The idea fascinates me. Mediums would know as fact that which we all want to believe They can seen beyond our existence, and know the secrets of our dreams

Its not that I believe or don't believe, I am sceptic by nature that much is true
It's just that each time I go on a vigil, I seem to come away with more questions that I went with

Why on earth do I want to go on a ghost hunt? And what would you do if you found one?

Why?

Well because its fun,  (can you think of a better reason?)

And ask yourself, what did you do last night? Watch coronation street on TV perhaps? Or perhaps you had spell binding night at the bingo.
(Sorry to upset the TV watchers or Bingo players it's just an example)
but surprisingly enough there are worse things to d than a ghost hunt..

What would I do if I find a ghost?

Take its picture and show the world

Try to communicate, ask what is there after life, as we know it?

And a thousand other questions besides.

In short.

It’s clear to me that no search will find a definitive answer, but we will keep looking.
You see merely seeing a ghost, would not be enough, believing is ghosts is not enough.

No proof I can think of would convince the world.

So I take nothing for granted and. Question all evidence I have found or I am offered

As impressive as an event is, it will be open to question, so I all I can do is enjoy the experience

And that is what it is really all about

Please have a look at the reports on this site to see some of our experiences

Of course it’s all a bit tongue in cheek, we don’t take ourselves very seriously

But we do have a good time and we do investigate for reel (no tricks or gimmicks)

If you like what you see, try joining us on the next vigil

Dare you?
