So “Who is or was Uncle Frank?”

 

 

This is the burning question now on the minds of all Ghostvigils members who attended the Barn Saturday

20^th September 2008 for our latest Paranormal Investigation

 

                We have investigated this venue several times and of course it never fails to disappoint

                Much has happened here and it remains a mystery why so much paranormal activity seems

                to concentrate in this particular place

 

                Of course the Main story always stems around the young Girl Murdered in this vicinity

                30^th December 1957

I have reported this venue several times, but it is this story of Anne that stays in the mind and holds so much interest

 

We had no knowledge of her before our first visit 3 1/2 years ago, now we seem to know her so well.

Of course we have never met, not on the mortal plain, our only contact has been through séance

 

Many people will dismiss this as folly, our accuracy put down to guess work or prior knowledge, but that’s just not the way of it here

 

Everything we have done, seen, heard, felt, and sensed is real. Moreover each experience has had several witnesses.

We cannot prove anything, but there is no way we could know what we do either.

 Remember all official files relating to the matter have been withheld from us, under the guise of protection of people’s rights.

The case was well published in the newspapers of the time, of course before most of us were born.

 

This report will show that last séance and a description of events as we believe they may of occurred,

W accept it cannot be proven without the authorities being involved and access to the case files

 Nor can we assume that now after all this time that it is in the public interest to re-open or re-investigate this case.

 

 

                The date was 20-Sep-2008. The time was 23:30

                Five members of the Ghostvigils group performed a Ouija board séance in the barn itself

The night was very cold just three degrees Celsius, however inside the barn it was decidedly colder, as we took our seats around the table.

The Ouija Board was placed on the table and a glass placed upon that

Although we have performed group séance, glass séance before this was the first time we had actually used an Ouija Board at this location.

In the past, people in the Investigation team had not wanted to perform this type of séance here, was this choice or fear we will never really know

In the past our results have been astounding, and the spirit of Anne has come forward and been keen to talk to us.

Only before this night we had only part of the storey, snippets of information

This night we wanted more, much more.

Apprehension was heightened by the noises we kept hearing, knocks on the walls and ceiling at intermittent periods, with no obvious pattern,

(Other than they seemed to occur when we least expected them).

After the protection routines we placed our fingers lightly on the edge of the glass.

We asked out for Anne to come forward only, and that any other spirit that may be present for the moment to stay back away from the table.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was only a short period of time before the glass moved, to show we were in the presence of spirit.

We asked if the spirit was male, the glass moved to no, we asked if this was Anne and the glass moved to yes.

All night there had been a negative presence in the Barn, who seemed to be stopping anybody from coming forward

We asked if this spirit was here now in the Barn? The Glass moved to no

Was he with the other group the glass shot across to yes

We asked her to move the glass to the word OUIJA at the bottom of the board if he came back

To alert us and we would close the séance down and let her be

We asked her to spell out her name, which she did, and she spelt it correctly, including the surname.

(Note the surname is unusual and is misspelled in many of the articles I had subsequently read since our first Investigation)

We asked if she remembered us, and the glass moved to yes

We asked if she knew why we were here, again the glass moved to yes

We asked if she knows the person that hurt her, the Glass then spelt out FRANK

Was he a relative? Then glass moved to no

Then she spelled out UNCLE

Did she know his surname? She said no

We asked was he a friend of the family she referred to as Uncle? The glass moved to yes

This was where we had it wrong each time before; we believed we had contradictory information before,

But we were not asking the right question and needed the Ouija Board for her to explain.

We asked if he was still alive? The glass moved to no

When did he die? How many years ago? The glass moved to 2

Did his spirit come here? The glass moved to no

We asked her if she wanted our help? Did she want to move on? The glass moved to no

We asked if she was happy to talk to us? Again the glass shot forward to yes

Then the glass moved quite assertively to the word Ouija at the base of the board

We as promised thanked her and closed the séance down

 

It was a shame, it ended so, but we had finally got the last of the storey

When we first investigated here and contacted Anne, three and a half years ago

We were astonished at what we had been told, but in the time it had taken to learn the whole storey, the man that hurt her, had died himself.

 

 

 

 

A scenario then of what we think may have happened on the cold December night fifty years ago

 

It could not happen like this, not in 1957 not at Christmas

 

But let’s suppose a young girl Anne say 17 comes home from a local dance, pretty much as she normally does.

As the bus drops her off at the end of the lane where she lives she sees a man she knows, a Porter, Butcher or a Postal worker maybe a Policeman

Or even a family member or family friend with his van or car.

Lets say from other witness descriptions of the rear of the car it had dynamo like rear red lights, and lets say

Anne herself described it as being made of wood, was van like but was actually a car. (Could it of been a Morris Traveler)

He beckons her, she probably like him, and she at least trusts him to some degree.

She gets in the vehicle with him to talk, he flirts with her maybe steels a kiss

Probably gets a slap for his trouble. He gets angry and tries as luck gain, she pushes him off

He hits her, maybe to hard, she screams, he panics, puts his hand over her mouth or a bag or piece of clothing over or across her head

Suffocating her to stop her attracting attention he is to strong for her, she is overcome.

 

He is now in a state of pure panic, he drives her lifeless body up a back dirt road

Hiding her body in a nearby farm building he knows, puts her in a one of the freezers, and then speeds off.

After a while the police start searching the local farms and woodlands

So he panics again and moves the body from the freezer to abandon it in woodland

An area already searched by the police, several miles away, an area that has no connection to him.

 

And lets say that the police when they find the body thinks they are looking for a cold calculating murderer.

Instead of a cowardly or simple person caught up in a misadventure with deadly results

Lets say for arguments sake that no one is ever caught or punished

And lets say that the new owners of these farm buildings hear or sense strange noises/voices from the Barn.

And that new owner asks a group of Ghost hunters to investigate, after four vigils, contacting the spirits that frequent the area.

What do you think would happen at the séance? What would they learn?

After the first Vigil we contacted the Police in Hertfordshire, and did not get a reply

 

We have contacted the police records at Kew, only to be told the case was never solved and was still officially open,

(Even if it was not being currently investigated)

That the information in these files could infringe the rights of people named within them if released, and my impede any future investigation

Case details would have to wait 85 years from the initial date of the crime before the records would be released to the general public

 

I see their point, but what about Anne’s rights?

If I am still here in 34 years time I will be queuing up for access to these files, if only to put my own mind to rest

 

I only want to know one thing from them anyway, who was Uncle Frank
