.

It seems a strange thing to do to amass a group of similar thinking people, transport them to a remote Semi deserted Museum in the dark of night. But that is what happened in rural village in Middle Wallop near Andover 11-Aug-2007

Strange indeed when you understand the locals do not venture near the place, especially after dark.

(Although to be fair, it is a Military base and Soldiers having guns may have a little to do with that)

Ghost Hunting is not new and these days not that rare either, more popular than ever with the Craze of Television programs on the subject.

So amongst rumors of unexplained noises and mysterious shapes in dark corners,

our intrepid team of brave souls set out to investigate the  “Museum of Army Flying”

Several members of our team, had previous experienced in “Paranormal Investigations”, so scary places were nothing new to them.

But as they say it is amazing what you can get used too.

The Team itself consisted of one “Medium “, two “Sensitive ‘s” and nine experienced Ghost Hunters, as well as ten people who had never been on a real paranormal investigation before.

This event therefore was going to be an adventure into the unknown for many.

Three members of this team are BASSF employees, Tony Martin, John Milewski and myself Peter Sugden

The event was a charity fundraiser for the Museum of Army Flying run by

www.ghostvigils.com and as a Barclays employee I asked if they Barclays would match our efforts with the £ for £. Scheme

This was agreed and so started the fundraising and the preparation for the event.

The Museum had been advertising the event on local radio for ages, which was a good press for Museum and Barclays.

The Night consisted of 22 people split into three groups each investigation the three main areas in turn. We used Dousing rods and Crystals, EVP digital recorders (Electronic Voice Phenomena) Tape recorders to you and me,

We used Ouija boards or something like it and we tried table tipping

At the end of the night we performed two-group séance’s

                                                        A spirit board (ouija board)

With breaks in-between several cups of coffee, several packs of biscuits

And a raffle separating the Vigils, the night seemed to go with a bang “literally”

Two reel items of significance did occur

                Firstly,

A Ouija board session did connect with a young women, she was killed

by a bomb during the war, although we did not get her name, it was later verified that this did occur and that this spirit had been reported here before, by staff, on several occasions

The sensitive on that vigil also picked up the name Thomas although not related.

Secondly,

Earlier, one member of our group was frightened when dousing for spirit, I wanted to know if

There was something there, as dousing is my forte, I set off to that location with a cameraman. I did indeed make contact with a spirit, not related to the Museum but related to one of the ladies present tonight. The spirit claimed to be her nephew. At that I heard a crash from below, someone had dropped a Camera with the distraction I lost contact with the spirit.

I did not want to scare anybody so I did not say anything until the end of the night. When I did say what I had found and that the name Thomas was picked up at the same time I was dousing, by a separate person on a separate vigil, it caused a stir.

It was impressive in it-self, until one of the ladies in the group was shocked and gulped she said it was her Nephew, that Thomas was his name, and that she believed he visited her at home and watched over her. “She did not tell us of this before the event”. Moreover later after discussing it with her partner and sister has invited Ghostvigils to investigate her home, as she believes this is where he visits Regularly.

“If after counseling she still wishes this I will talk to her about sending in a small group to help”

At the end of the night we have raised, by a dress down day collection, sponsorship from the “Bassf IT department” and a raffle on the night have raised £659 when matched by Barclays will be £1318

A big thank you to all for taking part a terrific effort.
