Remembrance Service at Two Gates Club

08th November 1970 - In the presence of the Mayor, Mr. Eric Johnson, a short remembrance service was conducted in Two Gates W.M.Club on Sunday evening by the Rev. Stanley Morris.

Standards were dipped at the club's Memorial plaque in honour of the fallen of the last two wars.

Standard bearers were Maurice Ellison and Miss Georgina Whitehead.

Legionnaire Mr. Sidney Walters, who was recently awarded the British Legion badge for 40 years service to the legion, read the names of honour on the Roll Call, said the Legion tribute and laid wreaths.

Afterwards, members adjourned to the Club's lounge where our picture was taken of members of the Wilnecote and Two Gates Legion.
