Aside from my juggling exploits, I also enjoy making music. Whilst brass band membership gives me the chance to play 'properly', it's also fun to do something a little more light hearted. Thus, the videos below show a few selected clips from my someone eccentric YouTube account.
To My Melodeon
This is a melodeon version of a little known song called To My Piano From Mr Drake. The original appeared on the eponymous album Mr And Mrs Smith And Mr Drake, an early offshoot project by member of the British band The Cardiacs. This version is somewhat shorter than the original - maybe I'll record the whole thing another time. Either way, I've always thought this was a great tune.
Arthur Screws It Up
Here we see Arthur (sometimes known as 'Mr Heathcote Snr'), possibly one of the oldest EWI players in the world, attempting to play a haunting tune called Wild Hill's O'Wannies. Unfortunately, absent mindedness seems to get the better of him just at the wrong time...
Yes, in case you're still wondering, this really is me, in a surprisingly convincing disguise. Sssssh! Don't tell anyone...
Cyber Melodeon - The Model
This video features an early (pre-basses) release of Bill Farmer's melodeon simulator software for PC. It seemed only natural to use it for a Krawftwerk classic.
For those of you that might have pondered whether, underneath the human facade, I'm really some sort of alien robot, here's your proof.
The Patriotic Melodeon
A version of Gilbert & Sullivan's 'For He Is An Englighman', played on my Castagnari Giordy mini-melodeon.
