Load Resistors £30.00 + P&P (two pair) The drawback of LED lights is that if your car has a 'Lamp Check' warning light, then this will illuminate after you have fitted the LED lights. This is due to the LED lights drawing much less current than a standard filament bulb and therefore the cars lamp check circuit thinks the bulb is blown. Fitting a pair of load resistors (one for stop and one for tail) to each rear cluster will fool the lamp check circuit into thinking the bulb is OK and the check light will go out. Full load resistor fitting instructions can be found here (size 133kb) Warning: These resistors get VERY HOT when in operation. It is therefore imperative that they be securely screwed to a flat metal part of the car bodywork and not in contact with any other part of the car. This will then ‘sink’ the heat away from the resistors into the car body. Two pairs of resistors are enough to do both brake light and tail light circuits on the rear of the car. If you have fitted LED bulbs to your indicator circuit, you may find that your indicators fail to flash or flash way too quickly. We can supply load resistors to cure this problem also.
